What a great Sunday. I'm excited for the many people who decided to rebound to victory during the service yesterday! We had 420 in the morning worship service plus 85 in the KidsCount Bus Ministry.
That means we ministered to 505 people over the weekend! That's exciting!

Angela,
I don't know the answer. That's why I asked the question--I hoped to get some insight! :)
I really do think it's tricky.
First, I look at the facts. Is this just part of life--we get sick, money gets tight. All of these are results of the fall. I think most setbacks fall into this category.
Second, is the setback preventing me from doing something I shouldn't be doing in the first place.
Third, what do I sense in my spirit from God. This is somewhat subjective, but if I am filled with the Spirit, I can walk with the Spirit.
Third, what do people I trust--particularly in authority over me--sense in thier spirit about the situation.
I didn't get to the other part of the message on Sunday, did I?
1. Position yourself to rebound--You've got to get in front of the opposition. You've got to be engaged and working for position--that means renewing your mind, building the right relationships, connecting to the right people.
2. Block Out. You've got to block out the opposition. In a spiritual sense, you've got to cut the enemy's voice out of your life. You can't rebound the ball, if you don't block him out.
3. Get Off Your Feet. You can't stand flatfooted and rebound. You've got to get off of your feet. Here's the key--you've got to get in the air. Now, follow the stretch--you've got to connect to the heavens--that's where the promises are, that's where were seated with Christ--we've got to get our feet off of earth and leap into the presence of God to rebound. It might stretch the bball analogy, but it's still true.
I hope that helps all the small groups. Thanks for asking. Those are GREAT questions.
