Drinking Iced Tea

After 14 years in the north, we're back in the land of sweet tea. Here's my breakdown:

  • McDonald's--Way too sweet
  • Olive Garden--Sweetened with peach syrup (yummy)
  • Bojangles--Almost perfect.

We bought a 1/2 gallon of sweet tea from Bojangles. It's our favorite. Now, to find a great Mexican restaurant.

Great Mex food at Salsa in City Center. City Center is in Newport News. You will really like it!

When not drinking my homemade favorite, mint tea. I like Bojangles as well. As far as a Mexican restaurant. I have to recommend Plaza Azteca. I think there are multiple locations around Hampton Roads but the one I am most familiar with is off Jefferson Ave Exit North while traveling I 64 going west from the church. The restaurant itself is not even a mile on the right at the intersection of Jefferson and Denbeigh Blvd. Go check it out sometime!

I've heard a couple other people mention Plaza Azteca. Sounds like it might be in the running. I think someone else mentioned Salsa, too. I'm seeing some Mexican food date nights in my future.

We use to go to Playa until we found El Azteca close to the church across from JC Penneys. Great food!

El Burrito is good too. There's one on either side of you - at the Eagle Harbor shopping strip here in Carrollton, or at the Bennett's Creek shopping strip on Bridge Rd in Suffolk, H'way 17!

Bon Appetit!

Yes, but there's nothing better than using your Mr. Coffee home brewing ice tea machine! Put in tea bags, water, sweeten to your taste, brew...then enjoy!

If you want there is a great Mexican restaurant in India called Salsa Salsa. It is really good and only about a 20 hour plane flight away. Come and see me and I will make you some sweet tea.
